Time is becoming an increasingly valuable commodity in our everyday lives. You are no doubt familiar with the daily discussion about who is going to do the shopping and what you’re going to have to eat. When you have got this far, the next step is to write a shopping list.
Onlinemealplan started up in 2007 with the aim of saving you and your family some of that precious time. Not only do you cut out the hassle, you gain various other benefits too, making everything just that little bit easier.
Meal planning
It is quick and easy to find a recipe, or to compile a meal plan for the entire week. You then print it, and a shopping list, out.
On the recipe you want, click on the icon with the green cross, and your shopping list will appear in the top left-hand side.
The shopping list has already been divided into the various grocery categories, making your shopping fast and easy. If there are other items that you wish to buy, these can be added to your shopping list manually once you are set up as a user. You can also add ingredients or delete ingredients that you already have. In addition, you are able to choose which recipes you wish to have on which days.
Your own online cookbook
Once registered as a user, you can create your own recipes. You will be able to view these recipes online immediately. However, they will only be accessible to you, until they have been approved by an administrator.
If you wish to amend one of your recipes after it has been approved by an administrator, access will once again be restricted to you alone until approval has been given once more. You can choose to only display your own recipes by putting a cross in the box, "Own recipes", which is found under "Global recipe filter".
This option is only available to you once you have set up a recipe.
Favourites
We have made it easy for you to compile the recipes that you like best. You can add as many recipes as you like to your favourites. It is not necessary to set up different categories as this is done automatically on the basis of the recipe’s original category.
Once you have marked a recipe as a favourite, you have the option of filtering your favourites. This is done by ticking the box "Favourites", which is found under "Global recipe filter".
This option is only available to you once you have added a recipe to your favourites.
Advanced search function
We have developed a unique filtering system that enables you to find the recipes you are looking for in no time.
We call this function "Global recipe filter". This enables you to limit your search.
The filters here can be combined. You can, for example, select max. 30% fat and search for cod, so the filter will find the recipes that contain both elements. The global filter also has an empty fridge function that gives you a quick overview of the recipes that contain the ingredients that you have in your fridge or freezer. The global filter gives you a fast and precise result…why not see for yourself!
