Intro

These buns are really delicious with a hint of cardamom, and are perfect for the birthday party.

Directions

Crumble into a bowl and sprinkle with salt and sugar.

Melt the margarine in a saucepan, add the milk and take it off the heat. Pour it over the yeast and stir until everything is dissolved. Add the egg and stir it all together.

Weigh out the flour and stir it together with the cardamom. Pour the flour mixture in a little at a time until the dough is no longer sticky.

Knead the dough well and let it rise in a moist cloth in a warm place for 30 minutes.

Shape the dough into buns and place them on a baking sheet with baking paper. Brush them with egg/milk and let them rise for another 20 minutes.

Turn on the oven to 200º C convection/ 225º C regular oven.

Bake the buns for 10 minutes (until they are light brown on the surface and sound hollow when you tap them.)

Serve the buns warm or cold.

Tip

It is only your imagination that sets the limits for what you put on the buns.
Serve them warm with butter, or with a slice of cheese and bell pepper, or simply with jam.
