Intro

Remember to prepare the beans the day before. Most types of beans require soaking in water for 10-12 hours before use.

Directions

Prepare and cook the white beans according to the instructions on the packet.

Chop the onion and grate the potatoes. Cut the green beans into small pieces.

Fry the bacon in a pan and pour off some of the fat if necessary. Add the onion and fry until golden. Add the paprika, marjoram, basil, chopped tomatoes, grated potatoes, green beans and water to the pan and allow to cook for 10 minutes. Add the white beans and heat through. Season with salt and pepper.

Heat the baguettes under the grill.

Serve the bean soup with warm baguettes.
